Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs, and the top tier offering of the 500 series. It has 24 jewels and a quick-setting date and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.
It measures approximately 35mm in diameter without the crown, in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, and winding crown and presents in gorgeous restored condition.
The case presents as mint. The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the very fine caliber 565 movement with fine swans neck regulation has been freshly serviced by a Master Watchmaker and is keeping extremely accurate time in five chronometer testing positions.
1950's and 60's Seamasters are great buys as parts are readily available for their well-made movements, and they're not hard to service.
For the finishing touch it has been equipped with a new aftermarket leather strap making it ready for immediate use.
